EX GOVERNOR ALAO AKALA REPORTEDLY DIES AT 71

Otunba Adebayo Christopher Alao-Akala, a former Governor of Oyo State, is dead. Details of his death are sketchy but sources close to the politician confirmed the tragic incident to Daily Trust , on Tuesday. The politician, who had been battling terminal ailment for a while, died in his Ogbomoso country home, on Wednesday morning, according to sources. A top source in the All Progressives Congress (APC) who confirmed his death to Daily Trust on Wednesday morning, said he died in his room. “It is true that Oga is dead. He died in the early hours of Wednesday in his room in Ogbomoso. He was full of life last night. In fact, I heard he was playing with his children before he went to bed. We are in a mourning mood now,” he said. Akala was the governor of the state between 2007 and 2011. THE RETURN AND REFORMATION OF THE OLOKADAS [LAUTECH AREA]

Today, 4th January 2022, the Students’ Union held a meeting with the LAUTECH Okada Association and have agreed to allow the Olakadas back in the school area on a condition that  all Olokadas working around LAUTECH are hereby mandated to wear SUG Uniform.  Any Okada without SUG Uniform that is seen or caught working around the school premises will be sanctioned. Students are also advised to  be security conscious and avoid Olokadas without wearing SUG Uniforms. And the person in question will face strict sanctions from the Student’s Union. SUG AFFIRMS FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF TUITION FEE REDUCTION. " It is with great joy and happiness and utmost pleasure to inform every one of us in this great citadel of learning that the 25% reduction of tuition fee as promised by our able Governor, His Excellency, Eng. Seyi Makinde would take effect from the next session, the 2021/2022 academic session. The Student Union never relented and kept fighting for the full implementation of the tuition fee reduction and we are glad to announce to all students that the implementation is going to be in operation from the 2021/2022 academic session. Therefore, the 25% reduction means 1. Indigenous Student: 25% reduction from 140,000 to 105,000 and from 120,000 to 90,000 respectively 2. This is to notify the general public, especially candidates who took part in the 2021/2022 Post-UTME screening exercise conducted today, Wednesday, December 1, 2021 that the results of the screening exercise have been released. Candidates are, therefore, advised to check their results on their individual portals . However, candidates who are yet to upload their O' Level results on JAMB CAPS will not be able to access their results until they  do so.

LAUTECH Releases Cut Off Mark and Procedure For the 2021/2022 Admission Process

GENERAL INFORMATION Notice is hereby given to all candidates who chose LAUTECH as their Institution of first choice in the 2021/2022 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that a Post-UTME Computer Based Test (CBT) screening exercise and oral interview for Direct Entry candidates for admission to the University’s various programmes will be conducted on Wednesday and Thursday, December 1 and 2, 2021 and Wednesday and Thursday, December 13 and 14, 2021 respectively. Consequently, application forms will be available online for completion and submission from Friday, October 1 to Friday, November 26, 2021.  Applicants are to note that before admission can be offered by the University, they must have uploaded their O’Level results on CAPS and once admission is offered, the candidates must either accept or reject the offer on CAPS before JAMB’s closure of CAPS for the year in order to be on JAMB Nat...

COURSE REGISTRATION OPENED FOR 2020/2021 RAIN SEMESTER

HOW TO REGISTER Course Registration without penalty has been opened for the Rain semester and will end on the 3rd of October [11:59].  After which registration with penalty will begin and end on the 31st of October [11:59]. Student are urged to pay their tuition fee [Full] in order to gain access to course registration. Log in to your portal to register/update course or visit a cybercafé to do that.
