EX GOVERNOR ALAO AKALA REPORTEDLY DIES AT 71

Otunba Adebayo Christopher Alao-Akala, a former Governor of Oyo State, is dead. Details of his death are sketchy but sources close to the politician confirmed the tragic incident to Daily Trust , on Tuesday. The politician, who had been battling terminal ailment for a while, died in his Ogbomoso country home, on Wednesday morning, according to sources. A top source in the All Progressives Congress (APC) who confirmed his death to Daily Trust on Wednesday morning, said he died in his room. “It is true that Oga is dead. He died in the early hours of Wednesday in his room in Ogbomoso. He was full of life last night. In fact, I heard he was playing with his children before he went to bed. We are in a mourning mood now,” he said. Akala was the governor of the state between 2007 and 2011. FREE TUTORIAL FOR ALL 100 LEVEL STUDENTS 'FRESHERS' (SUG)

     The SUG of our great citadel has organized a free  tutorial for all 100Level students, courtesy of the vice president Olayinka Titilayo (Tiola).  The Tutorial has commenced and is scheduled as this; Started:    Monday, 10th January 2022 Time:         4pm Venue:      FPASS LT (All sciences) & Engineering                 SIFAX LT (Management) NOTE: Monday, 10th January 2022 tutorial class will be a general class for both sciences and managements students at FPASS LT by 4pm.      We implore all the freshers to make use of this great advantage judiciously as a prolific & versatile tutor is set to make all the complex work simpler without any doubt.

FRESHERS' VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS - THINGS TO KNOW

  VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS OF CANDIDATES ADMITTED FOR THE 2021/2022 ACADEMIC SESSION      Verification exercise of documents has commenced since Monday, January 10, 2022 to end on Friday, February 25, 2022. Venue: “The Amphi Theatre” LAUTECH, Ogbomoso.  Time: 10.00am to 3.00pm every working day. Required documents for the verification  exercise: O’ Level result (result uploaded on JAMB CAPS). JAMB result slip. LAUTECH Letter of notification of recommendation for admission. (Printed In Color) Payment receipt of acceptance of provisional admission offered by the university.      Successful completion of this exercise will enable candidates to be able to proceed further in the registration process as well as payment of tuition fee which is a pre-requisite for allocation of matriculation number. 25% REDUCTION IN SCHOOL FEES HAS BEEN FULLY IMPLEMENTED -SUG

 The SUG earlier this evening, sent a mail to assure the student body that the 25% reduction in school fee s that was promised by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde   is no longer a promise but a fulfilled mandate as it will reflect on all undergraduate students’ portals anytime from now on. Gov. Seyi Makinde - LAUTECH " Dear Ladokites, Sequel to the memo dated 27th December 2021 on the 25% reduction in tuition fees for all students (Indigene and Non-Indigene). We are therefore happy to inform you all that the 25% reduction in tuition fee of both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous students is no longer a promise but a fulfilled mandate as it will reflect on all undergraduate students’ portals anytime from now on. THE RETURN AND REFORMATION OF THE OLOKADAS [LAUTECH AREA]

Today, 4th January 2022, the Students’ Union held a meeting with the LAUTECH Okada Association and have agreed to allow the Olakadas back in the school area on a condition that  all Olokadas working around LAUTECH are hereby mandated to wear SUG Uniform.  Any Okada without SUG Uniform that is seen or caught working around the school premises will be sanctioned. Students are also advised to  be security conscious and avoid Olokadas without wearing SUG Uniforms. FRESHERS 2021/2022 CAN START TO PRINT THEIR ADMISSION LETTER

This is to inform the general public, especially candidates who have been offered provisional admission for the 2021/2022 admission exercise to various programmes in the university that they can now proceed to print their notification of admission letters and pay the prescribed acceptance fee as contained in their letters of notification of admission. Successful candidates are to login to their accounts from their dashboards to make payments for printing of notification of admission letters as well as acceptance fees.
